KP Government Spokesperson Questions Zardari’s Mental Fitness, Says He Approved Canal Projects Himself

Peshawar: Barrister Saif, Advisor on Information and spokesperson for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government, has launched a scathing attack on former President Asif Ali Zardari, questioning his mental fitness and accusing him of approving canal projects from the Indus River himself.
Speaking on the controversy surrounding the canal projects, Barrister Saif stated that either Zardari betrayed the people of Sindh by approving the canals or he is suffering from memory loss. “The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) must admit to one of these—both cannot be denied simultaneously,” he said.
“If Zardari’s mental state is indeed unstable, then how can he hold the highest office? He should resign immediately due to his physical and mental health,” Saif added.
He went on to accuse the PPP of trying to protect its vote bank through fake protests over the canal issue. “President Zardari himself approved the canals, which makes Bilawal Bhutto’s opposition to the same project quite confusing,” Saif remarked.
The KP spokesperson emphasized that it was Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) that first raised concerns about the canal projects. He urged Bilawal Bhutto to question his father instead of staging protests.
