Maryam Aurangzeb Hails PML-N Victory: “Alhamdulillah, the Lion Has Won

Punjab’s Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb has celebrated the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s sweeping victory in the Punjab by-elections, declaring, “Alhamdulillah, the lion has won.”
In a statement shared on social media, Maryam Aurangzeb also released a video featuring PML-N leaders Nawaz Sharif, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, marking the party’s strong performance in the by-polls.
PML-N is heading toward a clean sweep in Punjab, securing leads on all seats previously held by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results:
* **NA-129 Lahore:** PML-N’s Hafiz Nauman won with **63,441 votes**.
* **NA-143 Sahiwal-III:** PML-N candidate Muhammad Tufail Jutt secured **136,223 votes**.
* **NA-185 Dera Ghazi Khan-II:** All 226 polling stations reported PML-N’s Mahmood Qadir Khan as victorious with **82,413 votes**.
* The seat had fallen vacant following the disqualification of PTI’s Zartaj Gul.
* **PP-203 Sahiwal-VI:** PML-N’s Muhammad Hanif won with **46,900 votes**.
* **PP-115 Faisalabad-XVIII:** PML-N’s Muhammad Tahir Pervaiz secured victory with **49,046 votes**.
With these results, PML-N appears to have solidified its political position in Punjab, marking a decisive win in the by-elections.
