No PTI Involvement in Azam Swati’s Alleged Deal with Establishment: Salman Akram Raja

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Salman Akram Raja has clarified that the party has no connection with senior leader Azam Swati’s reported deal with the establishment.
Speaking to the media outside the Lahore Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC), Raja emphasized PTI’s commitment to the rule of law and constitutional supremacy. “We always advocate for the supremacy of the Constitution and the rule of law. That is our guiding principle,” he stated.
Addressing rumors of backdoor negotiations, Raja said, “If someone thinks we are trying to escape through a back channel, that is not the case. If a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan takes place, things will become clearer.”
He further alleged that deliberate attempts are being made to prevent PTI leaders from meeting Imran Khan to create confusion. “The reason we are not being allowed to meet him is to create ambiguity. Only after meeting him will we know whether he has authorized anyone to negotiate,” Raja added.
Regarding Azam Swati’s recent claims of a deal, Raja said, “I have no knowledge of any such deal with the establishment. Azam Swati is speaking on his own behalf. Until we speak directly with Imran Khan, I cannot comment further.”
