PTI Leaders’ Disagreement Over Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar: A heated discussion has emerged among senior leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) regarding the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill. The debate took place on the party’s WhatsApp group, where senior PTI leader Atif Khan expressed his opposition to the bill.
According to sources, Atif Khan criticized the amendment bill, claiming that it does not serve the best interests of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He argued that the bill is not in line with the region’s needs and would not benefit its residents.
In response, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur questioned Atif Khan’s stance, asking whether he had thoroughly read the bill. Gandapur went on to suggest that if Atif Khan struggled with the English version of the bill, he would be happy to send him a copy in Urdu for better understanding.
Ali Amin Gandapur further asserted that there was no issue with the Mines and Minerals Amendment Bill and suggested that any problem was personal rather than substantive.
Sources revealed that Atif Khan refrained from responding to Gandapur’s remarks in the WhatsApp group, indicating the rising tension within the party over this issue.
