Chief Minister of Balochistan Highlights Investment Opportunities in the Province’s Mining Sector

Islamabad:Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sardarfaraz Bugti, emphasized the immense potential for foreign investment in the province’s rich natural resources, particularly its mineral sector. Speaking at the Minerals Summit 2025 in Islamabad, the Chief Minister highlighted that Balochistan is a resource-rich region with abundant opportunities for foreign investors.

Mir Sardarfaraz Bugti assured that the provincial government is committed to providing all possible facilities to foreign investors, ensuring they can invest with confidence. He further mentioned that the provincial government has introduced a “One Window System” to streamline the process, making it easier for investors to obtain permits and navigate through various procedures without facing obstacles.

The Chief Minister stressed that investment in the mineral sector will not only boost the provincial economy but will also create new employment opportunities for local communities. He added that the government is focused on ensuring that both national and international investors are provided with all necessary support, while also safeguarding the rights of local communities.

“We want the local population to benefit from investment in terms of education, health, employment, and overall development. It is our priority to ensure that the people of Balochistan receive the fruits of economic growth,” Mir Sardarfaraz Bugti stated.

During the summit, the Chief Minister also visited the stalls of BMRL (Balochistan Mineral Resources Limited) and BMeC (Balochistan Mineral Exploration Company), subsidiaries of the provincial Mines and Minerals Department. He was briefed by the Secretary of Mines, Syed Ali Khan, and other senior officials about ongoing mining projects, investment opportunities, and government policies.

Furthermore, Mir Sardarfaraz Bugti emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to environmental protection and the sustainable use of natural resources alongside the development of the mining sector. On the sidelines of the summit, the Chief Minister also met with the Acting Canadian Ambassador to discuss collaboration and investment opportunities in Balochistan’s mineral sector.
