Famous Singer Salman Ahmed Faces Legal Action Under PICA Act

Karachi: Renowned singer Salman Ahmed has been booked under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act (PICA). According to the police, the case was registered due to his alleged involvement in anti-state and anti-institutional propaganda.
The case has been filed under the police’s complaint at the Defence-A police station. The FIR states that Salman Ahmed spread false propaganda against national institutions on social media and circulated hateful posts online. It further mentions that a police officer on duty personally observed the post.
