Mahira Khan Sidesteps Question on Shah Rukh Khan, Highlights Pakistani Cinema’s Progress

Dubai:Pakistani superstar **Mahira Khan** tactfully avoided a question about her Bollywood experience with Shah Rukh Khan during a press conference held for the promotion of her upcoming film **“LoGuru”**, where she appeared alongside co-star **Humayun Saeed**.

While interacting with fans and media during a recent promotional event in Dubai, a journalist asked Mahira about her experience working with Shah Rukh Khan in the Bollywood film *Raees* and her opinion on the production quality of Pakistani films like *LoGuru*.

Mahira, instead of addressing the Bollywood reference directly, responded,
*”That was a long time ago. You should be asking me about *The Legend of Maula Jatt* now.”*

She praised the Pakistani film industry’s recent advancements, saying:
*”A production like *Maula Jatt* is unmatched across the subcontinent. It was created with the same level of excellence as any major international film. I believe we are progressing day by day, and I don’t think we need to compare ourselves to anyone anymore.”*

Her remarks subtly shifted the narrative from Bollywood to Pakistan’s own cinematic achievements, particularly at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan have resulted in bans on Pakistani artists in India. During this period, Indian producers have also removed Pakistani actors from music albums and promotional material.

Mahira’s response highlighted not only her diplomatic media skills but also a growing sense of pride in Pakistan’s evolving film industry.
