Bobby Deol Opens Up About Distance With Father Dharmendra and Family Struggles

Islamabad – Bollywood actor Bobby Deol recently shared intimate details about his personal life and family relationships, revealing a side rarely seen by the public.
Bobby explained that despite his fame and central position in the film industry, there was a quiet struggle behind the spotlight. He shared that during his childhood, he felt a distance from his father, veteran actor Dharmendra, due to his father’s constant work commitments. “He would often say, ‘Sit with me, talk to me,’ but I felt shy and scared, so I stayed quiet,” Bobby said.
The actor emphasized that this experience motivates him to spend quality time with his own sons, Aryaman and Dharm, ensuring they never feel the emotional distance he once experienced.
Bobby also revealed the family turmoil that occurred when Dharmendra married actress Hema Malini while still married to Bobby and Sunny Deol’s mother. As Hinduism does not permit remarriage in such circumstances, Dharmendra and Hema Malini converted to Islam to marry, which caused initial distress within the family. Over time, Dharmendra reassured his children and first wife, gradually mending strained relationships.
Bobby’s revelations highlight the hidden challenges behind his cinematic success and underscore his conscious effort to maintain a close and supportive bond with his children.
