Time Has Come, They Won’t Be Able to Stop the People Now: Aleema Khan

ISLAMABAD – Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has declared that the time has come and authorities will no longer be able to stop the people, asserting that the majority of the public stands with Imran Khan.

Speaking outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said the authorities are trying to intimidate people into staying home on September 27, but “people’s fear has ended.”

“The reason for their fear of Imran Khan is that he is a representative of the people, and the majority of people stand with him,” she said.

She alleged that people are being arrested to keep them scared so they would not come out on September 27. “But now people’s fear has ended. With Allah’s will, they will not be able to stop the ocean of people on September 27,” she asserted.

Aleema Khan quoted Imran Khan as saying that people should come out for their rights and for their freedom against slavery. “Imran Khan is standing, now the people will stand for their rights. People are understanding what is about to happen in Pakistan,” she said.

“The thieves and robbers who are imposed on us, the day people come out for their rights, these people will be the first to catch a plane and leave,” Aleema claimed.

She also complained that for the past 18 months, the family has been coming to Adiala Jail but court orders are not being followed, no relief is being given, and meetings are arbitrarily held and then stopped. “The government is openly committing contempt of court,” she alleged.

Aleema further pointed out that when she had to appear, 11 arrest warrants were issued against her, her accounts and identity card were blocked. She questioned why arrest warrants were not being issued against the prosecutor when she complied while the prosecutor did not appear.

Prisoners Challenge IHC Verdict on Imran Khan’s Medical Facilities in Federal Constitutional Court
In a separate development, three inmates of Adiala Jail have challenged the Islamabad High Court’s verdict regarding medical facilities provided to PTI founder Imran Khan, taking the matter to the Federal Constitutional Court.

The petitioners have requested the Federal Constitutional Court to declare the IHC decision null and void.

The petitioners argue that Article 25 of the Constitution mandates equal treatment for all citizens. “Therefore, they should also be provided with the medical facilities available to PTI founder Imran Khan,” the petition stated.

The petition noted that the Supreme Court’s order of August 18 remains in effect, in which the court had ordered Imran Khan’s transfer to Shifa International Hospital. The petitioners have requested the court to order their treatment at Shifa International Hospital as well and to provide WhatsApp-based communication with overseas contacts similar to the facilities granted to Imran Khan.
