Advisor to PM Rana Sanaullah Criticizes PTI for Avoiding National Security Meeting

Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, has stated that if Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is unwilling to participate in parliamentary affairs, they should resign. He emphasized that PTI should have attended the National Security meeting, as the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government was represented at the event, and Nawaz Sharif’s party had a strong presence.

Speaking in a private TV program, Rana Sanaullah asserted that it would have been acceptable if Nawaz Sharif attended the meeting or not, as PML-N leaders, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, were present at the session. He criticized PTI for not attending the National Security meeting, stating that the party seeks salaries from the assembly but refuses to participate in its sessions. He accused PTI of caring more for their leader than the nation, further noting that the number of representatives attending the meeting was determined by the parties present in the parliament.
