PPP and PML-N Agree on Joint Efforts for Public Welfare Projects in Lahore Meeting

A consultative meeting of the coordination committees of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) (PML-N) took place at the Governor House in Lahore, where both parties reached an agreement on several key issues.

The meeting focused on cooperating to advance public welfare projects and ensuring their immediate implementation for the benefit of the people. Both parties agreed to hold monthly meetings during the first week of each month, with the next coordination committee meeting scheduled for April 12.

The meeting also reviewed various welfare and development initiatives in Punjab under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.

The PPP delegation was represented by former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Hider Khan, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Ali Haider Gilani, and Syed Hassan Murtaza, while the PML-N delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar.

Prime Minister’s Advisor Rana Sanaullah, Federal Minister for Law Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar, Senior Provincial Minister for Punjab Maryam Aurangzeb, and Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan also participated in the meeting.

Additionally, Chief Secretary Punjab Zahid Akhtar Zaman and IG Police Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar were present during the discussions.
