Federal Minister Ataullah Tarar Responds to Criticism on Jaffar Express Attack Operation

Islamabad:Federal Minister for Information, Ataullah Tarar, expressed gratitude to Allah as the operation in Balochistan reached its logical conclusion. He criticized certain Indian media outlets, Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for making similar statements regarding the incident, suggesting they should have focused on factual information about the operation.

While discussing the tragic Jaffar Express attack, Tarar confirmed that 33 terrorists, who had taken Pakistani citizens hostage, were killed. He mentioned that before the operation began, 21 lives were lost, and four Pakistani soldiers sacrificed their lives.

The minister praised the bravery and courage of the Pakistani armed forces, including the Army, FC, SSG, and Air Force, who displayed remarkable expertise in carrying out the operation. He condemned the Indian media’s propagandist coverage and expressed disappointment over some political elements exploiting the tragedy for political gains.

Tarar emphasized that the Prime Minister had lauded the security forces for their successful operation and condemned the political games played over the incident. He stressed that such events would not be tolerated in Pakistan and reassured that all hostages had been safely rescued and moved to secure locations.

He also mentioned that the Pakistan government and its armed forces would continue their fight against terrorism, vowing that the scourge of terrorism would be completely eradicated. Tarar reaffirmed that Pakistan would remain a safe and peaceful country, with the security forces actively pursuing terrorists.

He further commended the professionalism of the Balochistan operation and assured that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the Pakistani government, and the Pakistan Army, under Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir, were fully committed to wiping out terrorism from the roots.

The minister stated that the BLA’s terrorist plot had been foiled, and the terrorists would never succeed in their nefarious objectives. He added that the government and armed forces were resolute in their efforts to combat terrorism, and the Prime Minister would be visiting Balochistan soon to discuss future strategies.

Tarar concluded by reaffirming the nation’s resolve and readiness to face the challenges posed by terrorism with courage and determination.
