PIA Issues Special Guidelines for Travelers to Saudi Arabia, Polio Vaccination Now Mandatory

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has issued special guidelines for passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia, stating that polio vaccination is now mandatory for all travelers heading to the Kingdom.
According to PIA spokesperson Abdullah Hafeez Khan, passengers have been facing difficulties at airports due to new directives from the Saudi government. The vaccination must be administered at least four weeks before traveling, but it should not be older than six months.
**Polio Vaccination is Mandatory for All Travelers**
The vaccination is compulsory for every passenger, whether they are traveling on an Umrah visa, a tourist visa, or an iqama (residence permit).
**Exemption from Vaccination**
Travelers who will transit through any Saudi Arabian airport for less than 12 hours are exempt from getting the polio vaccine.
**Polio Vaccination Certificate**
A certificate confirming vaccination must be stamped by either a government or private hospital. Therefore, passengers are required to bring the vaccination certificate with them to the airport.
**No Travel Without the Certificate**
The spokesperson emphasized that travelers will not be allowed to board flights to Saudi Arabia without the vaccination certificate. These guidelines apply to all airports and airlines involved in travel to Saudi Arabia.
