UAE Announces Salat al-Istisqa (Rain Prayer) in Mosques Tomorrow

Abu Dhabi (Qudrat Daily) – UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed that Salat al-Istisqa (the prayer for rain) be offered across the country.
According to details, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has issued directives to offer Salat al-Istisqa on Friday across the country to seek rain and blessings.
UAE authorities say that this special prayer will be offered in congregation in all central mosques across the country approximately half an hour before the Friday prayer.
The UAE government has appealed to all citizens and resident foreigners to participate in this gathering in large numbers and to humbly offer collective prayers before Allah Almighty for rain, mercy, and blessings.
Salat al-Istisqa is a well-known method of praying for rain in Islamic tradition and is attributed to the Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
During dry weather periods, the holding of such collective worship not only strengthens spiritual attachment but also highlights the spirit of unity, harmony, and collective supplication in society.
Following the UAE President’s announcement, arrangements for Salat al-Istisqa will be made during Friday gatherings in all major mosques and Eidgahs across the country, where special prayers will be offered for the rain of mercy along with repentance and seeking forgiveness.
