Mawlana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Urges Collective Action for Missing Persons and Public Safety in Balochistan

Quetta:Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA), Mawlana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch, criticized the government’s inaction regarding the disappearance of Balochistan’s renowned figure, Musawar Kakr, who has been missing since November 15. He expressed deep concern over the ongoing plight of the missing person’s family, stating that despite the seriousness of the situation, the authorities, including the government, security forces, judiciary, and parliament, remain indifferent and offer nothing more than words of patience and comfort.
Mawlana Hidayat-ur-Rehman further pointed out that if Musawar Kakr, a member of the elite class or close to influential political figures such as the Chief Minister, Corps Commander, or IG, had been abducted, the situation would have been handled much differently. He urged the relevant authorities to work together to ensure the safe recovery of Musawar Kakr and other missing persons.
In his speech at the All Sarafa Association’s provincial office, where he met with members of the trading community, he called for collective action. He emphasized that Jamaat-e-Islami, which represents a diverse community of individuals across different sectors, will continue to raise the voice of citizens in the provincial assembly and demand the rights of the people, especially the release of missing persons.
Mawlana Hidayat-ur-Rehman also criticized the failure of the authorities in protecting the people of Balochistan, citing the lack of accountability for those behind the kidnappings and criminal activities. He expressed solidarity with the families of the missing and urged the public, including traders and citizens, to join the upcoming protest to demand their rights and the protection of their safety.
He concluded by stressing that the authorities’ silence and failure to act have left the people vulnerable to crime, with public safety deteriorating in Balochistan. He called for unity and collective action to address these issues and restore justice, emphasizing that Jamaat-e-Islami stands firmly with the oppressed.
