PTI Holds Key Meeting in Peshawar to Discuss Chief Minister Election

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) held an important meeting in Peshawar to deliberate on the possible election of **Sohail Afridi** as Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to sources, both **central and provincial PTI leaders** were summoned to attend the consultative session. The **PTI founder** has directed party leaders at all levels to remain **united and on the same page** regarding the provincial leadership decision.

The **legal team** will also be consulted for the Chief Minister’s election process, while **Junaid Akbar, Asad Qaiser, and Babar Saleem Swati** have been given **special tasks** in this regard.

Sources within the PTI parliamentary party stated that the **Chief Minister’s election is expected within the next 72 hours**, and discussions were also held to assess the **opposition’s strategy** amid the current political situation.

Several PTI members who were **abroad** have returned to Pakistan to participate in the election process, including **Arif Ahmedzai, Nazir Abbasi, Taj Muhammad Turand, and Asif Mehsud**. Two other MPAs are still abroad but have been **instructed to return immediately**, while **Sher Ali Arbab** has also arrived back in the country.
