Terrorist Attack on Police Check Post Foiled in Dera Ghazi Khan
A terrorist attack on a police check post in Dera Ghazi Khan was successfully thwarted by law enforcement forces.
According to the Punjab Police spokesperson, 15 to 20 terrorists launched an attack on the Jhangi check post of Wahwa Police Station in the dead of night, targeting the post from various directions.
The spokesperson added that the terrorists used advanced weapons, including rocket launchers and hand grenades, during the attack. However, the police responded swiftly and effectively, foiling the attack, and the terrorists fled the scene. Police teams are continuing a search operation in the area.
The operation was led by the Regional Police Officer (RPO) of Dera Ghazi Khan, Captain (R) Sajad Hassan Khan, with the District Police Officer (DPO) of Dera Ghazi Khan, Syed Ali, also present on-site.
