Provincial Minister Ali Hassan Zehri Vows to Tackle Crime and Uphold Law in Hub District

Hub:Provincial Minister for Balochistan and spokesperson for President Asif Ali Zardari, Mir Ali Hassan Zehri, has pledged a strict approach toward tackling criminals challenging the state’s authority in the district of Hub. He emphasized that the government will ensure the rule of law and protect citizens’ lives and property. In a media briefing during his visit to Hub, Zehri revealed that, following President Zardari’s instructions, the provincial government will grant one crore rupees to the family of martyred police constable, Din Mengal, and an additional 20 lakh rupees from his side. He also announced that the son of the slain constable will be given a position in the police force.
Zehri condemned efforts by defeated political elements to disrupt peace in Hub and declared that no one would be allowed to jeopardize the district’s security. He warned that those targeting religious minorities would soon face legal consequences. Zehri pointed out that the reality of those who support criminal groups and intimidate the Hindu community is now exposed to the public.
He also expressed that, after decades of mismanagement by previous rulers, the people of Hub now recognize the development projects introduced by the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and its focus on peace and security. Zehri stated that despite the opposition’s efforts, the people of Hub will continue to support the PPP’s development agenda.
The provincial minister confirmed that, in response to the growing crime rate, the police are taking immediate action against criminal elements in the district. He assured the public that the government would not tolerate any compromise on security, and that the culprits involved in the killing of police constable Din Mengal will be brought to justice.
Additionally, Zehri announced that the Chief Minister of Balochistan had ordered the recruitment of 220 new police officers to fill the current personnel shortage in Hub, with approval for 15 police vehicles to ensure security. He also mentioned that a traffic management plan for the city had been prepared under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner.
Zehri concluded by reiterating that President Asif Ali Zardari is committed to the development of Hub, and that the Pakistan Peoples Party is working diligently to ensure the prosperity and safety of the district’s residents. He also highlighted the increase in the number of beneficiaries under the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) to 75,000 families, with a total of 60 crore rupees already distributed to deserving individuals in the area.
