Gas Tanker Explosion in Multan Leaves 5 Dead and 25 Injured

Multan:A gas-filled tanker caught fire in Multan, resulting in a devastating explosion that claimed the lives of 5 individuals on the spot and left 25 others severely injured. According to the District Rescue Officer, the incident occurred in Fahad Town, where the gas tanker exploded due to the fire.

A major rescue operation was launched, with 18 rescue vehicles participating in the efforts to extinguish the blaze. Fire tenders were also called from Muzaffargarh and Khanewal to assist in the operation. The sound of powerful explosions was heard from a distance, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Eyewitnesses reported that the explosion was caused by the fire in the tanker, and fiery debris fell onto the nearby homes, damaging their roofs. The Commissioner of Multan confirmed that all individuals in the area were rescued, while the deceased and injured were immediately transferred to Nishtar Hospital. Several victims are reported to be in critical condition.

Local authorities have suspended the electricity and gas supply to the area for safety measures.
