Karachi: Gang of Millionaire Maids Arrested for Theft, Confess to Buying Luxury Homes, Cars, and Valuables

**Karachi:** Police have arrested a five-member gang of maids in Karachi who allegedly stole from homes and used the stolen money to purchase expensive houses, cars, motorcycles, and other luxury items.

According to SSP East, Zubair Nazir Sheikh, the maids had been employed for the past nine years at the bungalow of a well-known industrialist in PECHS, Block 6. The gang leader, Aruj, reportedly stole the key to the house’s locker and had a duplicate made for 3,000 rupees. Initial investigations revealed that Aruj used the stolen money to buy a house worth Rs 3.9 million, a car worth Rs 3 million, and a motorcycle worth Rs 260,000. The car is currently rented out, while the motorcycle is used by Aruj’s husband.

The arrested maids have been identified as Aruj, Sawera, Naila, Sana, and Alishba, hailing from Vehari, Okara, Faisalabad, Rahim Yar Khan, and Kot Addu. A case has been registered against them at the Ferozabad Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing, with more revelations expected.

SSP Zubair Nazir Sheikh urged the public to verify the identity, credentials, and police records of domestic workers before employing them to prevent similar incidents.

The police have confirmed that a formal case has been registered against the maids, and investigations into the matter are continuing.
