Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan Listed Among Top 50 Tourist Destinations for 2025

Islamabad:Gilgit-Baltistan, a stunning region in Pakistan, has been included in the list of the world’s 50 best tourist destinations for 2025, as released by the British newspaper, Financial Times.

Financial Times highlights that Gilgit-Baltistan is home to some of the most breathtaking mountain landscapes in the world. The region’s improved security, easy accessibility, and enhanced accommodation facilities are attracting more tourists than ever before. The publication noted that Pakistan, in a bid to boost tourism, launched an online visa facility for citizens of over 120 countries in August 2024, and also introduced 14-day group tours offering deep cultural, historical, and scenic experiences. These tours include a 6-day trekking adventure through the region’s majestic terrain.

Earlier this month, CNN, the American news network, also ranked Gilgit-Baltistan among the top 25 global tourist destinations for 2025.
