Apna Ghar Housing Programme Crosses Rs104 Billion in Loan Disbursements

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Apna Ghar Programme has achieved a major milestone, with total housing loans disbursed to citizens surpassing Rs100 billion.

Adviser to the Finance Ministry Khurram Shehzad said that a total of Rs104 billion in housing loans had been provided to 17,697 households under the programme.

He said loan disbursements had recorded a significant increase of 404 per cent in just six months after June 2026.

According to the finance adviser, the government has so far received 220,715 applications for housing loans under the Apna Ghar Programme. Of these, 90,405 applications have been approved, with financing worth Rs533 billion.

The approval rate for applications stands at 41 per cent, while overall financing approvals have increased by 269 per cent, he added.

The figures released by the government reflect growing interest in the Apna Ghar Programme and progress in the provision of housing finance to citizens.
