Trump Backs Joint Meeting of Russian, Chinese and US Presidents

MOSCOW (Quadrat Daily) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has proposed a trilateral meeting with the presidents of the United States and China to decide the future of the Ukraine war, while US President Donald Trump said he is ready for such a meeting. According to the British broadcaster, the US president stressed that the focus of the meeting would be nuclear arms reduction, not the Ukraine issue.
The US president said Russia’s position on the Ukraine matter had been acceptable. Meanwhile, a Wall Street Journal report on Putin’s proposal has caused concern in Europe, and Kyiv has also condemned it. Trump once again criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, saying perhaps the time has now come for someone else to negotiate on Kyiv’s behalf.
