Dera Murad Jamali: Attack on Security Forces’ Checkpost in Kachhi, One Attacker Killed and Three Injured in Intense Exchange of Fire

Dera Murad Jamali — In Kachhi, armed men attacked security forces, resulting in intense firing, while retaliatory fire killed one attacker and injured three others. The attackers took their injured comrades along while fleeing, and security forces’ search operation is ongoing in the area. According to police, within the jurisdiction of Kachhi police station Haji Shahar, unidentified armed men suddenly attacked security forces at the Dosa Lashari checkpost near Lami on National Highway N-65 and opened intense fire.

Security forces responded immediately and vigorously, as a result of which one attacker was killed on the spot while three others were seriously injured. According to police, the attackers retreated while taking their injured comrades along; however, police took into custody the body of the attacker killed in the exchange of fire. Immediately after the incident, heavy contingents of security forces and police cordoned off the entire area and launched a large-scale search operation to trace the suspects.
