Over 164 Closed BHUs Reopened in Balochistan in 20 Months, Benefiting Over 100,000 Patients Annually: Chief Minister

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – More than 164 previously non-functional Basic Health Units (BHUs) across Balochistan have been restored over the past 20 months, marking a significant improvement in the province’s healthcare system.

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti stated that the rehabilitation of these health centers will enable over 100,000 patients annually to access OPD services, greatly improving public access to essential healthcare.

In a message posted on X, the chief minister emphasized that the fight against terrorism cannot be won without improving service delivery and governance. He added that the provincial government has therefore prioritized reforms in the health sector to ensure better service delivery across Balochistan.
