Mike Hesson Likely to Take Over as Pakistan Test Head Coach for Sri Lanka Series

LAHORE:Pakistan’s white-ball head coach, Mike Hesson, is likely to be handed additional responsibilities as head coach of the national Test team for the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, according to sources.

Sources indicate that Hesson is expected to continue in the role during the two-match Test series scheduled for next month.

Hesson was reportedly given interim responsibilities ahead of the third Test against England after Sarfaraz Ahmed was removed from the position of Test team coach.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is expected to consider Hesson for the role as preparations continue for the upcoming series.

Pakistan and Sri Lanka are scheduled to play two Test matches, with the first Test beginning on November 9 and the second starting on November 17.

Hesson currently serves as Pakistan’s permanent head coach for the white-ball formats, which include One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

An official announcement regarding the Test coaching arrangements has yet to be confirmed.
