Pakistan Veterans Suffer Heavy Defeat in Opening Match of Masters Hockey World Cup

THE HAGUE:** Pakistan’s veterans hockey team suffered a heavy defeat in their opening match of the Masters Hockey World Cup, losing 10-0 to the Netherlands in the over-60 age category.

The Pakistan side, featuring several former Olympians, failed to score a single goal against the hosts. The squad includes former Olympians Shahbaz Senior, Tariq Sheikh, Khalid Hameed and other veteran players.

Pakistan are placed in Group D alongside the Netherlands, Wales and Ireland.

Pakistan will play their second match against Ireland on August 9, followed by their third group match against Wales on August 11.
