“Do I Have a Hand in Sohail Afridi’s Arrest? Such Nonsensical Talk Should Not Be Done”: Maulana Fazlur Rehman

Islamabad (Daily Qudrat) — JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that PTI stood by the commitment it had made, while the government backed out. Governor’s Rule is not a solution to problems. Speaking to the media, he said, “Do I have a hand in Sohail Afridi’s arrest? Such nonsensical talk should not be done. News is being aired without evidence. At this time, proof of responsibility should be given. PTI stood by the commitment it had made, while the government backed out.”

Governor’s Rule is not a solution to problems; it may be for interests, but it should not be linked to the benefit of the nation, Constitution, and politics.
Furthermore, Federal Adviser on Political Affairs Senator Rana Sanaullah, speaking to the media, said that the Governor’s Rule issue should not be taken too seriously. The situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will improve and terrorism will be completely eliminated, and Pakistan will move forward. The emergency of October 12 and October 11 cannot be compared, because on October 12, martial law was imposed by breaking the Constitution, whereas the emergency of October 11 has been imposed in accordance with the Constitution. Tomorrow, Parliament will also endorse the emergency.
He said that there is a law and order situation in Balochistan as well, but the Balochistan government is fully cooperating against terrorism, whereas the KP government was completely non-cooperative, and it had nothing to do with the province’s situation. The provincial government’s powers have been dissolved by the federal government so that the situation there can be improved and law enforcement agencies can be fully supported so that terrorism can be eliminated.
He said that the government and the nation have no option other than to show performance in KP and win the war against terrorism. We have to achieve success at any cost. In Balochistan, terrorists’ demand is that Balochistan be separated from Pakistan, and that 70 percent of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa be given to them. They are talking about breaking Pakistan. How can negotiations be held with those who talk about breaking Pakistan? This is precisely PTI’s narrative.
