Balochistan Assembly: Speaker Backtracks on Forming Parliamentary Committee on Corruption in Forest Department Recruitments — “We Have Already Punished Those Responsible, No Need for Committee Now”: Speaker Balochistan Assembly

Quetta (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — During the Balochistan Assembly session, Speaker Captain (Retd) Abdul Khaliq Achakzai, while clarifying his position, stated that a month ago, on the identification of corruption in Forest Department posts on the Assembly floor by Provincial Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti had announced the formation of a committee headed by the Opposition Leader. The previous day, the Opposition Leader had pointed out this issue through a point of order, upon which the Speaker had announced forming the committee within two days. However, on Saturday, during the session, the Speaker told the House that all those responsible in the Forest Department have already been punished, and a meeting was also held in this regard, due to which there was no need for a committee — therefore, there is no need for the committee. In this way, the hopes of unemployed youth also died.
