E-Bike Scheme: Good News for Matric Students as Verification Process Begins

LAHORE: The Punjab government has formally started the verification process for providing electric bikes to matriculation students, with boys and girls aged 16 to 18 eligible for the scheme.
According to details, the School Education Department has launched the verification of applications submitted by students under the provincial e-bike scheme aimed at providing electric motorcycles to thousands of matric students across Punjab.
The department has sent the complete records of students who applied for the scheme to the heads of their respective schools and directed them to immediately verify the details of students enrolled in grades 9 and 10.
All school heads across the province have been instructed to complete the verification of student data within 24 hours and submit the verified reports back to the School Education Department.
Eligibility Criteria
Students between the ages of 16 and 18 years will be eligible to receive e-bikes under the scheme.
According to the Education Department, electric motorcycles will be provided only to eligible and deserving students on the basis of verified data.
The School Education Department said that millions of students from schools across Punjab had already submitted applications for the electric bike scheme.
Following the large number of applications, school authorities have now been directed to complete the verification process as soon as possible so that the next stage of the scheme can proceed.
