Abdui Border to Reopen After Consultation with Stakeholders: DC Kech Announces Trial Phase for Trade

Turbat:In a significant development, **Deputy Commissioner Kech**, Bashir Ahmed Baloch, has announced the reopening of **Abdui Border** after consultations with various local stakeholders. According to an official statement issued by the Deputy Commissioner’s office, after a series of discussions with **border committees**, **all political parties**, **traders associations**, **civil societies**, and **Jamaat-e-Islami**, a mutual agreement has been reached to reopen the border.
As part of the agreement, the border will initially be reopened under a **trial phase**, with **50 vehicles** being allowed to cross. The **DC Kech** will engage with the relevant **Iranian authorities**, who will coordinate with local Iranian suppliers. This engagement is expected to improve border operations and pave the way for the resumption of vital commercial activities in the region, including **market supplies** and other **essential business operations**.
The **DC further clarified** that once the stakeholders agree on the **list of 50 vehicles**, the **administration will immediately release the list** on the same day. Additionally, once the stakeholders decide that the **oil supply** and other trade activities have resumed to normal, the **full list of 600 vehicles** will be issued to ensure regular trade flow.
**Deputy Commissioner Kech** assured the public that the administration is committed to **transparency and efficiency** and encouraged citizens to have **trust in the authorities** as the reopening process unfolds. He further emphasized that efforts will be made to enhance the **border trade** and facilitate smoother operations, ensuring that the people of Balochistan benefit from this decision.
