PTI Launches Long March from Lakki Marwat

Lakki Marwat (Qudrat Daily) — Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has commenced its long march from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi and other party leaders aboard a special container. A large number of people are participating in the long march alongside them.
Addressing the participants at Gandi Chowk in Lakki Marwat at the start of the long march, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi strongly criticized the federal government’s security and counter-terrorism policies. He said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa openly challenges the federal government, stating that the policy it has been implementing in the province for the past five years has not eliminated terrorism but has instead increased it.
He recalled that during the tenure of PTI founder Imran Khan, the province enjoyed complete peace for three years because his policy was correct. However, after the regime change, terrorism was once again encouraged. He said the fire burning in the province is due to the federal government’s own flawed policies, and those who start a fire can never extinguish it—but we will now put out this fire ourselves.
The Chief Minister said, “I challenge that peace can be restored in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa within one hundred days, but they have no intention of bringing peace here because they have always been enemies of the Pashtuns. Their intent is to eliminate PTI, but no one can eliminate PTI.”
Sohail Afridi said that PTI founder Imran Khan often says that a person has only intention and effort in their hands, while success is in Allah’s hands. “Our intentions are noble, and we will give our one hundred percent. If I stand firm here today, I have neither tanks, nor guns, nor bullets—it is only the power of you, the people, that I stand upon.”
He further stated that if Imran Khan is not bowing before these tyrants today and is not breaking, then the real strength behind it is you, the people. “You have to come out of your homes, Pakistan’s destiny has to be changed, and the world has to be told that the real owners of this country are you—not those who sit in closed rooms and make decisions.”
