Sohail Afridi Urges PTI Not to Back Down on Imran Khan Meeting, Hospital Transfer Demand

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has told PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar that the party should not back down from its demand for a meeting with PTI founder Imran Khan and his transfer to a hospital during negotiations with the government.
Sources said Barrister Gohar contacted Chief Minister Sohail Afridi after talks with the government and briefed him on the discussions.
According to the sources, Sohail Afridi told Barrister Gohar that PTI should not compromise on the conditions regarding a meeting with Imran Khan and his transfer to a hospital.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi reached the PTI secretariat in Peshawar as preparations for the party’s long march continued. A fundraising campaign for the march is underway, and the chief minister will remain at the party secretariat to receive donations.
PTI workers have already started contributing to the long march, with supporters depositing donations into a collection box in the presence of the chief minister.
Sohail Afridi said details of the negotiations with the government had not yet been received. He said Barrister Gohar would reach Peshawar at night and brief the media on the talks.
Meanwhile, PTI leadership is scheduled to hold consultations in Peshawar today regarding the negotiations with the government. Barrister Gohar and other party leaders have left Islamabad for Peshawar, where they will discuss the government’s talks held the previous day.
