Who Makes Peace After a Quarrel? Captain (R) Safdar Makes Personal Revelation About Maryam Nawaz
Lahore: Captain (retd.) Muhammad Safdar, husband of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has shared some personal details about their married life, saying that his wife is usually the one who takes the initiative to make peace after a disagreement.
Speaking in an interview with a private YouTube channel, Captain (retd.) Safdar said his relationship with Maryam Nawaz is based on mutual courtesy, respect and dignity, with no room for one partner to exercise authority over the other.
He said that despite completing 35 years of marriage and having children and grandchildren, the couple continues to maintain a pleasant balance in their relationship.
Discussing their private life, Safdar revealed that whenever something sweet is brought into the house, Maryam Nawaz hides it so that it does not affect his health.
He said their disagreements are usually minor and that Maryam Nawaz is generally the one who takes the first step toward reconciliation.
Captain (retd.) Safdar also gave an interesting reason for not becoming part of the provincial cabinet. He said that whenever Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz enters a room, everyone is expected to stand in her respect, and he prefers to avoid such a situation, which is why he has refrained from accepting a government position.
