Illegal Occupation by Unions in Education Offices: Doubts Cast on Government Claims, Court Demands Photographic Evidence

Deputy Commissioners Bound to Intervene in Case of Resistance; Balochistan High Court Issues Strict Directive to Submit Comprehensive Report

QUETTA (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — A two-member bench of the Balochistan High Court, comprising Chief Justice Muhammad Kamran Khan Mulakhail and Justice Najamuddin Mengal, heard a contempt of court petition filed by Imran Al-Hussaini against the Secretary of Education (Schools) Balochistan and others.

During the hearing, Additional Advocate General Balochistan Zahoor Ahmed Baloch informed the court that all unauthorized occupants present in the name of unions and associations at the Directorate of Education (Schools) Quetta have been evicted, and at present no unauthorized person is occupying the premises of the said building.

The petitioner’s counsel, disagreeing with the government’s stance, demanded that photographic evidence also be presented along with the report in this regard. On this, the court directed both parties to submit reports of an identical nature.

The honourable court directed the Director of Schools Education Balochistan to submit a comprehensive report, under the direct supervision of the Secretary of Education (Schools), regarding all unauthorized occupants present in the name of unions and associations in all district education offices and educational institutions across Balochistan.

The honourable court further ruled that if any unnecessary or unjustified resistance is encountered during the implementation of the court order, the relevant Deputy Commissioner should be contacted, who shall be bound to provide all kinds of necessary assistance for the implementation of the court order.

The honourable court also emphasized sending a copy of the order to the Additional Advocate General’s office for information and compliance, and fixed the next hearing of the case for November 3, 2026.
