Salman Khan Slams Fake AI Videos, Calls for Stronger Laws

Mumbai:Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has strongly criticized people who create fake videos and manipulate voices using artificial intelligence (AI), calling the practice a serious and alarming issue.
The actor recently discussed the issue on his reality show *Bigg Boss 20*, criticizing those who use AI to create or alter videos and share them on social media.
Salman Khan said creating an AI-generated video or dubbing someone’s voice through AI was wrong. He noted that AI technology has advanced significantly, making the situation increasingly concerning.
He said people could take something someone had said and use AI to alter it in a way that makes the person appear to use abusive language. According to the actor, such manipulated content can create a false impression about individuals.
Salman also revealed that he himself had been the subject of such AI-generated content. He said people who are unaware that a video is AI-generated might share it believing that he was actually present at the location shown.
However, he questioned the intentions of people who knowingly create and circulate such fabricated videos.
The actor called for stronger legal measures against those involved in creating deceptive AI content. He said that such practices would continue unless legal action was taken against offenders and also called for legislation and a system of regulation for social media platforms.
