Federal Government Does Not Even Have the Courage to Topple the PTI Government and Remove Sohail Afridi: Junaid Akbar

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Junaid Akbar has said that the federal government does not even have the courage to topple the PTI government and remove Sohail Afridi. If governor’s rule or emergency is imposed, the public will react strongly. “Government is not our compulsion; power is the problem of those whose kitchen runs on it. If the court disqualifies Sohail Afridi, distrust will increase further,” he said.
Speaking on a Samaa News program, he said that government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is not their compulsion; rather, it will become easier for them. “When workers tell us that no transfer or posting happens, then protesting will become easier for us. It will become easier for us — many things we want to do but cannot due to the compulsions of the provincial government — then protesting will become easier for us,” he said.
He said that Imran Khan also toppled his own governments. “The issue of losing power can be a problem for them because these people earn from power; their kitchen runs on it. If the federal government imposes governor’s rule or emergency, the public will react strongly. We did not get the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government at anyone’s wish. The federal government does not even have the courage to topple the PTI government; if they had the courage, they would not have let Sohail Afridi become chief minister at all,” he said.
He said that if anyone wants to hold negotiations, their doors are open. “If the government takes one step forward, we will take two steps forward. Our conditions cannot be forcibly imposed on us. We will not negotiate through the use of force. We believe that for the sake of the country, hatreds should be ended. We believe in dialogue, but we will not hold dialogue at gunpoint,” he said.
He said that if the court disqualifies Sohail Afridi, distrust in the judiciary will increase further. “People have already come to know how decisions are being made,” he said.
