Talks With PTI Not Possible Until Long March Is Postponed: Rana Sanaullah

ISLAMABAD:Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah has said that negotiations with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) cannot take place until the party postpones its planned long march.
Speaking on Geo News programme *Geo Pakistan*, Rana Sanaullah said containers had been placed in the city as a security measure, adding that they were positioned along the roadside and roads remained open.
He said backchannel contacts with the PTI leadership were still ongoing. However, he maintained that formal negotiations could not take place as long as the long march remained scheduled.
Rana Sanaullah said statements were being issued regarding the long march, but suggested that the march would not materialise in practical terms.
He further said that no one would be allowed to “storm” Islamabad, stressing that the government would take measures to maintain security and public order in the capital.
