Balochistan Home Minister Condemns Attack on Police Protecting Polio Team in Nushki

QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langau has strongly condemned the attack on police personnel deployed to provide security to a polio vaccination team in Nushki.
The provincial home minister sought a report on the incident from the Inspector General of Police and the Additional Secretary Home.
Expressing grief over the martyrdom of the police personnel assigned to protect the polio team, Mir Ziaullah Langau said the provincial government shared the sorrow of the bereaved families.
He said targeting police officers deployed for the protection of polio workers was an attack on the safe future of children. He added that the fight against polio was, in fact, a fight to provide the children of Balochistan with a safe and healthy future.
The home minister said terrorist elements could not undermine efforts to protect children from diseases. He praised polio workers and police personnel for performing their duties despite risking their lives to protect children from disability.
Mir Ziaullah Langau reiterated that the Balochistan government was committed to protecting children from polio and other dangerous diseases and providing them with a peaceful and secure environment.
