Proposal to Resign from National Assembly and Senate Against Arrests of PTI Leaders

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — PTI MNA Shahid Khattak has proposed resigning from the National Assembly and Senate against the arrests. In a statement on X, he said that on September 27 we will come, and we will come with full force, but the manner in which members of the assembly are being abducted is very alarming. I request the Opposition Leader in the National Assembly and the Opposition Leader in the Senate to immediately convene a meeting and consider resignations from all assemblies and the Senate.
He said that when a member of parliament has no protection and is being treated worse than an ordinary citizen, then why are we sitting in these assemblies? This system is collapsing anyway; we should completely demolish this system.
Similarly, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shafi Jan, in his reaction on X, said that Mohsin Naqvi should not make the funerals of martyrs a subject of political rhetoric; using the funerals of martyrs for political point-scoring is highly regrettable.

The continuous press conferences of federal ministers show that they are severely frightened of the PTI long march. When federal ministers talk about the law, they should also remember the fundamental rights of the people granted in the Constitution. Mohsin Naqvi says they will formulate a permanent strategy to deal with PTI. We want to ask: why was this same strategy not formulated for economic stability? Mohsin Naqvi has perhaps forgotten that the economy is being damaged not by PTI but by their so-called experienced economic team. We will by no means be intimidated by the federal government’s threats. The Form 47 government should remember that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has long been facing government oppression and tyranny.
If the federal government is not afraid of the long march, why has Islamabad already been turned into a “Container City”? Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will never relinquish its constitutional and democratic rights. The September 27 protest is our constitutional right; it cannot be stopped through threats. In another tweet, Shafi Jan said that the picking up of Provincial Minister Fazal Shakoor Khan from Peshawar by unidentified individuals is a direct attack on the Constitution, the law, democracy, and the public mandate.
