JUI-F Warns Against Defamation of Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Urges Institutions to Stay Within Their Limits

Quetta: Leaders of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) have said that any campaign to malign the character of party chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman will not be tolerated, urging all institutions and political parties to operate within their constitutional boundaries.

In a joint statement, JUI-F Central Secretary General Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, Balochistan Emir Maulana Abdul Wasay, Central Joint Secretary Malik Sikandar Khan Advocate, former provincial minister Haji Nawaz Kakar, and district chief Maulana Abdul Rehman Rafiq said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s statements were based on principles and the Constitution.

They said the JUI-F chief had emphasized that every institution should work within its limits and contribute to the country’s progress and stability. They warned that failure to do so could create further difficulties for a country already facing serious challenges.

The JUI-F leaders alleged that some individuals had distorted Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s remarks and were attempting to damage his reputation. They made it clear that the party would not allow any such efforts and would resist what they described as conspiracies against their leader.

They said all political parties should work together to bring the country out of its current crises instead of engaging in political conflicts and attempts to undermine each other.

The leaders stated that JUI-F has a history of opposing authoritarian rule and has always maintained its political stance. They added that the party respects state institutions but said this respect should not be used as a reason to suppress democratic voices.

According to the statement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s recent remarks were aimed at strengthening constitutional supremacy and addressing the country’s current situation, but some elements were allegedly presenting them in a different context. The party leaders reiterated that they would continue to defend their leadership and political position.
