Security Forces Kill 5 Terrorists Near Kalat, Rescue 23 Hostages

QUETTA:Security forces killed five terrorists during a timely operation on the N-25 highway near Kalat, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
According to ISPR, security forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to disrupt public transportation and movement on the N-25 near Kalat. Five terrorists were killed during the operation, while 23 hostages were safely rescued from their hideout.
ISPR said six trucks, three buses and two cars were recovered from the terrorists’ hideout. A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives was also seized.
The terrorists had established a checkpoint allegedly to carry out kidnappings, extortion and vehicle snatching, according to ISPR.
Meanwhile, security sources said terrorists carried out an improvised explosive device (IED) attack on a passenger vehicle on Lajay Road in Kharan, injuring 10 workers.
Security forces reached the site after the incident and shifted the injured to a hospital for medical treatment.
