Iqrar-ul-Hassan Praises Jemima Goldsmith, Wishes Her Well on New Chapter

LAHORE:Awam Raj Tehreek leader Iqrar-ul-Hassan has praised Jemima Goldsmith for her support for former Pakistani prime minister Imran Khan and her role in raising their children, saying she is an example of a respectable woman.

Speaking during a podcast, Iqrar said Jemima had supported Imran Khan greatly and had also spent time in Pakistan during their marriage. He said she had done a commendable job raising their sons, Sulaiman and Kasim.

“Jemima Khan has the right to make decisions about her life and move forward. I congratulate her and wish her happiness in the new chapter of her life,” Iqrar said.

He said he was pleased to see Jemima’s grown-up sons and other family members present at her wedding ceremony. He also praised the way her sons conduct themselves, saying people could disagree with their views but still respect the manner in which they express themselves.

Iqrar described Jemima Goldsmith as an example of a dignified woman and said her decision to marry again was a personal matter.

“If she has decided to choose someone as her life partner, my prayers and best wishes are with her,” he said, adding that he wished her happiness and success in her new journey.

Jemima Goldsmith, the award-winning British screenwriter and film producer and former wife of Imran Khan, recently married Irish-Australian financier Cameron O’Reilly in a private ceremony. Jemima and Cameron O’Reilly reportedly met through their work in film and documentary production and had been in a relationship for around a year before their marriage.
