“A Historic Sit-In Will Be Held in Islamabad; Convoys Depart from Balochistan Against Extortion, Inflation, and Corruption”
Quetta (Daily Qudrat): Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan and Member Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch has said that preparations are underway for full participation from across Balochistan in the sit-in to be held in Islamabad on September 20 against extortion, inflation, unrest, corruption, and public issues. Some convoys have already departed. Responding to the call of Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Jamaat-e-Islami officials, members, and workers from all districts — from Gwadar to Zhob and from Hub to Chaman — will reach Islamabad in the form of convoys.
He expressed these views while addressing an online meeting of district Amirs, brother organizations, and provincial officials regarding preparations for the September 20 Islamabad long march and sit-in. The meeting reviewed preparations for collective and individual travel by road and by train.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch said that there are more than one hundred political parties in the country, including the government and the opposition, but Jamaat-e-Islami has been continuously protesting for the past 40 days against public issues, inflation, unrest, and corruption. Jamaat-e-Islami is present in the field of action for the resolution of the basic problems of the people and the elimination of oppression and injustice.
Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman Baloch said that the participation of members and workers of Jamaat-e-Islami and brother organizations is mandatory without excuse under Shariah. “We are protesting for the national collective interest and the resolution of issues in the interest of Jamaat-e-Islami. The people cannot pay extortion for the extravagance of the rulers. The Jamaat-e-Islami delegation has told the rulers the alternative of savings, but the rulers are making excuses, wasting time, and committing injustice.”
He said that obstacles should not be created in the way of Jamaat-e-Islami’s sit-in and peaceful protest, and the people should be given the right to protest under their democratic and constitutional right. He said that if the rulers try to stop the public protest, the responsibility for its consequences will fall on the government, and the rulers will have to face public pressure.
He directed district Amirs, brother organizations, and all provincial officials to further accelerate preparations for the September 20 Islamabad long march and sit-in and to ensure full participation of workers and the public. Convoys from Balochistan will depart for Islamabad via the routes of Karachi, Sukkur, Loralai, and Zhob. “We will try to ensure that Balochistan’s presence is better on the first day.”
