60% of Pakistanis Dissatisfied With Education System: Survey

ISLAMABADضAround 60 percent of Pakistanis are dissatisfied with the country’s education system and believe it does not meet modern-day requirements, according to a new survey released by the Institute for Public Opinion Research (IPOR).

The survey found that **35 percent** of respondents expressed satisfaction with the existing education system, while a significant proportion identified several challenges affecting the quality and accessibility of education.

According to the findings, **29 percent** of respondents cited the commercialisation of education and high fees as major problems facing the sector.

Meanwhile, **19 percent** identified poor standards of education as a key issue, while **15 percent** pointed to difficulties in accessing education.

The survey also found that **14 percent** of respondents considered weaknesses in the examination system among the major problems affecting education in the country.

Additionally, **11 percent** highlighted the lack of technical and vocational education, while **9 percent** attributed the decline of the education system to political interference.

The findings indicate that respondents identified financial barriers, quality of education, access, examination standards, vocational training and political interference among the key challenges facing Pakistan’s education sector.
