PM Shehbaz Announces Rs100/Litre Petrol Relief for Motorcycles, Rickshaws, and Vehicles Up to 800cc

ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Roznama) – Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a relief of Rs100 per litre on petrol for the owners of motorcycles, rickshaws, Chingchi vehicles, and small cars up to 800cc.
According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House, a special relief scheme has been launched to reduce the additional financial burden on the public caused by rising oil prices in the international market and their subsequent impact.
The Prime Minister said the government is aware of the difficulties faced by the people and will not leave them alone in this challenging situation. He stated that special relief will be provided to users of small vehicles and two- and three-wheelers to mitigate the effects of the increase in petrol prices.
Under this scheme, motorcycle, rickshaw, and Chingchi users will receive a relief of Rs100 per litre on up to 20 litres of petrol per month, while owners of vehicles up to 800cc will be given a relief of Rs100 per litre on up to 30 litres of petrol per month.
According to the Prime Minister, the scheme will take effect in Islamabad from the night between Monday and Tuesday, while across the country, including Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, it will be implemented from the night between Wednesday and Thursday.
Registration for the special relief scheme began today. The Prime Minister said information regarding the procedure of the scheme will be provided to the public through an awareness campaign, and he thanked the provincial governments for their cooperation in providing data related to motorcycles, rickshaws, and small vehicles for registration.
