Political Problems Can Be Solved Through Dialogue, Achakzai Should Call Jirga on All Balochistan Issues: PML-N

Quetta — Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Balochistan general secretary and MNA Jamal Shah Kakar has said the province’s situation will soon return to normal, claiming comprehensive steps for law and order are being taken under Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

In an interview, Kakar said the government was taking serious and effective measures to address Balochistan’s problems and restore peace. He noted that National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq had met representatives of parliamentary parties in Quetta to discuss the province’s issues and possible solutions.

He said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had repeatedly offered talks to resolve the country’s problems, including those of Balochistan, and had made a similar offer even when PML-N was in opposition.

Political problems, Kakar said, can only be resolved through dialogue, consultation and the democratic process. All political forces should play their role in Balochistan’s broader interest.

He asked Leader of the Opposition Mahmood Khan Achakzai to convene a jirga on issues concerning the whole of Balochistan, take political and tribal elders and other sections of opinion into confidence, and prepare a joint plan of action.

He added that lasting peace, development and prosperity in the province required all political forces to work together.
