ISLAMABAD:President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed his position on the ongoing debate over the creation of new provinces, according to sources.

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held an important meeting with President Zardari in London, during which national and current political matters were discussed. The interior minister also conveyed an important message to the president.

Sources said the president conveyed a message that he would remain firm on his stance regarding various national issues, particularly the debate over the creation of new provinces.

According to sources, the meeting between President Zardari and Mohsin Naqvi lasted for approximately one hour. The two held a one-on-one discussion during the meeting.

Sources added that important national and current political issues came under discussion.
