Five Security Personnel Killed in Attack on Police Post, Customs Warehouse in Pishin

QUETTA: Five security personnel were killed and several others injured after armed men attacked a police post and a Pakistan Customs warehouse at Ziarat Cross in Pishin late at night, police sources said.

According to police, the armed assailants targeted the police post and Customs warehouse, triggering an intense exchange of fire between security forces and the attackers.

Following the gunfight, the attackers set fire to vehicles parked inside the warehouse. On receiving information about the blaze, rescue teams from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) reached the site and successfully brought the fire under control. Cooling operations are currently underway.

Twelve PDMA ambulances are also present at the scene. The bodies of the deceased security personnel and the injured are being shifted to hospitals.

Meanwhile, security forces have launched a clearance operation in the area following the attack.
