Arrest of All Three Suspects in Sabia Alleged Rape and Murder Case Commended: Babar Yousafzai
QUETTA: Balochistan Home Minister’s Adviser Babar Yousafzai has commended the police for arresting all three nominated suspects in the alleged rape and murder case of eight-year-old girl Bibi Sabia in Ahmedwal, Nushki.
In a statement, Yousafzai said the timely action by police leading to the arrest of all three suspects was highly commendable.
He said the arrests were carried out on the directives of DIG Rakhshan and the Nushki SP, under the supervision of Ahmedwal Station House Officer (SHO) Manda Khan Mandai. The nominated suspects — Ismatullah, Zubair and Kamran — have been taken into custody and further investigation is underway.
Yousafzai described the incident involving the minor girl as extremely tragic and unacceptable, saying that providing justice to the victim’s family was the government’s and law-enforcement agencies’ top priority.
He said the investigation would be completed in a transparent manner and those responsible would be awarded strict punishment according to law.
“No one is above the law,” he said, adding that the Balochistan government would continue taking effective measures to protect the lives and property of citizens, particularly children.
